For First Choice Prosthetic, a company based in Ponce, PR specializing in implants and prosthetics, we developed a web-based Inventory, Dispatch and Trcking system. The company maintains inventory of their items, scanning them when they are received through standard code readers. The products are then made available for seelction to be sent to various hospitals for surgical procedures. The system tracks the products on the bins, directing the user to the products with closer expiration dates, allowing for more efficiency.
The bin delivery process is then tracked, where carriers can then set bins as delivered (using their own mobile phones through the web app version), using location services to register the location. Products can then be tracked from receipt into any of their locations to final delivery at the corresponding hospital, and even back to FCP facilities if they are returned.
